Brandon McCoy Jr., the No. 2 overall prospect and top-ranked point guard in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite, received his Duke basketball offer back in July and took an official visit to Durham in early November. Now, his teammate at St. John Bosco High School (Calif.), fellow five-star and elite power forward Christian Collins, has also emerged as a top target for Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils’ 2026 recruiting class.
Ranked No. 5 overall and the No. 1 power forward in the cycle, Collins publicly announced his Duke offer on Tuesday evening through a post on social media.
The offer from Duke came on the same day the Blue Devil coaching staff made a visit to St. John Bosco, with their attention clearly focused on the 6-foot-8, 200-pound versatile standout.
About seven hours after announcing Duke’s entry into his recruitment, Christian Collins revealed that another powerhouse program — Kentucky — has also extended an offer, further intensifying the battle for the five-star forward’s signature.
Collins’ growing list of offers now includes several of college basketball’s premier programs, with Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, UCLA, USC, and Villanova among those already in pursuit — further cementing his status as one of the most coveted prospects in the 2026 class.
With their recent offers, Collins and McCoy now make up 40 percent of Duke’s known 2026 recruiting targets, underscoring the Blue Devils’ strong interest in the dynamic duo from St. John Bosco High School.
