The Duke Blue Devils wrapped up another strong college basketball season under head coach Jon Scheyer. The team advanced deep into the NCAA Tournament, securing wins over Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, and Mount St. Mary’s. However, their run ended in the Final Four with a hard-fought loss to Houston, falling just short of a national championship berth.
As Scheyer and his coaching staff turn their focus to another potential Final Four campaign, Duke is welcoming a new wave of talent to campus. Among the incoming recruits is blue-chip prospect Nikolas Khamenia, who recently earned a spot in the final rankings released by 247Sports.
Khamenia is ranked No. 15 overall and No. 3 among small forwards in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. Following the announcement of the updated five-star rankings, Khamenia shared a brief but meaningful reaction: “Blessings,” he said.
Khamenia recently wrapped up his final high school season at Harvard-Westlake and is now set to join Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils. He’ll be teaming up with two of the nation’s top recruits—five-star power forward Cameron Boozer and four-star point guard Cayden Boozer—forming one of the most anticipated freshman classes in the country.
Before committing to Duke, Khamenia drew attention from several elite programs, including North Carolina, Arizona, UCLA, and Gonzaga, solidifying his status as a top-tier prospect.
The Duke Blue Devils closed out a stellar season with a 35–4 record, highlighted by an ACC Tournament championship. The team’s success was fueled by an impressive freshman trio—Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Khaman Maluach—who played key roles throughout the campaign.
With that foundation in place, incoming talent like Nikolas Khamenia and his fellow recruits will aim to build on that momentum. As they step onto campus, their focus will be clear: lead Duke back to the Final Four and keep the program’s championship aspirations alive.
