On Thursday evening, Kohl Rosario — a four-star guard from Moravian Prep (N.C.) — announced he had received an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and assistant coach Emanuel Dildy.
By Friday morning, Rosario had already scheduled an official visit to Duke, with multiple outlets confirming he’ll be in Durham from June 26-27. According to 247Sports’ Dushawn London, the rising 2026 prospect also has visits lined up with Oregon (June 4-5), Kansas (June 17-18), Texas A&M (June 22-23), and Baylor (June 29-30). He’s also planning a trip to either UNC or Florida State in early July.
Rosario has quickly become one of the most buzzworthy players on the EYBL circuit this spring, turning heads with standout performances — including a flawless 30-point game where he didn’t miss a shot from the field. His stellar play attracted a wave of attention from top-tier coaches during last week’s open period, leading to a surge in offers from major programs, including bluebloods like Kansas and Duke’s longtime rival, UNC.
The 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2026 class have yet to catch up with Kohl Rosario’s rapid rise. For now, he sits at No. 96 overall, No. 14 among shooting guards, and No. 3 in the state of North Carolina — numbers that seem poised for a significant jump given his recent performances and growing list of high-major offers.
