Four-star defensive lineman Noah Clark from Jordan High School in Durham, N.C. — a top priority for NC State regardless of position — is nearing the final stretch of his recruitment. On Monday, the 6-foot-4, 330-pound standout announced that he will make his college decision on July 2.
Clark took an official visit to Virginia last month. His upcoming visit schedule includes South Carolina this weekend, followed by trips to Notre Dame (June 10–12), Virginia Tech (June 14–16), and NC State (June 20–22).
NC State, under the leadership of veteran defensive line coach Charley Wiles, has been relentless in its pursuit of four-star defensive lineman Noah Clark since his freshman year at Jordan High School in Durham, N.C.
“They’re pretty serious,” Clark said earlier this year. “Coach Doeren, Coach Wiles, and Coach Shaw all came to my school. It’s been a great process, and I’m very thankful. It’s incredible to have multiple coaches from a school recruiting you. It makes you feel like a priority.”
Wiles has been the driving force behind State’s recruitment of Clark, and the standout defensive lineman has high praise for his recruiting experience.
“He has a lot of knowledge about the game,” Clark noted in February. “When he’s recruiting me, it’s like we’re having a conversation. It’s been a great time getting recruited by him.”
Clark added, “He’s told me I need to go to NC State because I’d be developed and have a chance to be a first-round pick. His track record is incredible. And again, his knowledge for the game is insane.”
A dominant force on the field, Clark wreaked havoc during his junior year at Jordan High, racking up 75 tackles, including 18.5 for loss, four sacks, seven quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, and a blocked field goal.
Ranked as the nation’s 126th overall prospect, No. 21 defensive lineman, and No. 8 player in North Carolina by 247Sports, Clark holds over 40 scholarship offers. His growing list of suitors includes powerhouses like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Texas, in addition to NC State, Virginia, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech.

Clark is a dominant force in the trenches. He explodes off the ball quickly, using his combination of size, power, and athleticism to overpower opponents at the high school level. He sheds blockers with ease and consistently stuffs ball carriers at or behind the line of scrimmage. He also displays the ability to generate a pass rush from his defensive tackle position.
Clark has a high football IQ and an impressive motor. He takes smart pursuit angles and consistently puts himself in position to make plays. Beyond his on-field prowess, Clark is known for his high character, work ethic, and strong presence as a teammate.
