According to Vegas odds, the Georgia Bulldogs are once again projected to be in the mix for the SEC title in 2025.
Despite coming off a season where they captured the SEC championship and earned a spot in the College Football Playoff, opinions about Kirby Smart’s squad are mixed heading into the new year. With a new starting quarterback and the loss of 13 players to the NFL Draft, some question whether Georgia can maintain its elite level of play.
Still, the latest Vegas odds suggest Georgia remains a top contender. College football insider Brett McMurphy recently shared the projected win totals for SEC teams, with Georgia tied at the top with Texas and Alabama at 9.5 wins.

One positive for Georgia is that quarterback Gunner Stockton gained valuable experience last season when he stepped in for Carson Beck, who suffered an elbow injury during the SEC title game against Texas. Stockton played a key role in the Bulldogs’ overtime win over the Longhorns and performed well in the playoff matchup against Notre Dame, despite the loss.
In addition to returning talent, Georgia made several key additions through the transfer portal. The Bulldogs brought in wide receiver Zachariah Branch, wideout Noah Thomas, and a group of safeties. During the spring portal window, they also added running back Josh McCray, defensive lineman Josh Horton from Miami, and EDGE rusher Elo Modozie from Army.
While Georgia will feature a number of new players on both offense and defense this season, Vegas oddsmakers aren’t buying into the idea that the Bulldogs will take a step back in 2025.
