**Myles Herro, Brother of NBA Star Tyler Herro, Commits to Ohio State**
The Herro legacy continues in college basketball, now in Columbus.
Myles Herro, younger brother of Miami Heat star and former Kentucky standout Tyler Herro, has committed to Ohio State. The 6-foot-3 point guard from Whitnall High School in Greenfield, Wisconsin, is a three-star recruit in the 2025 class, ranked as the No. 40 point guard nationally by 247Sports.
Herro picked the Buckeyes over other programs, drawn by a strong bond with the coaching staff. “I was talking to a few schools before Ohio State reached out,” Herro told 247Sports. “But after they called, my dad and I discussed the opportunity thoroughly, and it just felt right.”
While not on a full scholarship, Herro is expected to receive a partial athletic scholarship, supplemented by name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities to cover remaining costs.
Tyler Herro, a former Wisconsin commit who starred at Kentucky, averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in his lone college season before becoming an NBA lottery pick and a top young scorer with the Heat. Myles, though less heralded, offers a high basketball IQ, reliable shooting, and significant potential to Ohio State’s backcourt. Having grown up watching his brother’s rise, he’s poised to make his own mark in the Big Ten.
Notably, Kentucky did not pursue Myles during recruitment.
Ohio State’s 2025 class is gaining momentum, and Herro’s skill and pedigree add intrigue to a program aiming to reclaim national relevance. His commitment keeps the Herro name in college basketball, promising an exciting chapter for the Buckeyes.
