Arkansas Football’s Historical Record vs. 2025 Opponents

“If you want to be the best, you’ve got to beat the best.”
It’s a phrase often repeated—but far less often realized. Just having the opportunity to face the best is rare. At SEC Media Days, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman didn’t shy away from that reality, embracing what lies ahead. He called the Razorbacks’ daunting 2025 schedule a “hell of an opportunity.”

And daunting it is. Arkansas enters the season with a consensus top-five toughest strength of schedule. The Hogs will face six teams that finished last season ranked in the final top 25—including three College Football Playoff teams and one national title runner-up.

The nonconference slate offers no relief. Arkansas hosts Notre Dame—the national runner-up—in what will be the Fighting Irish’s first-ever trip to Fayetteville. The Razorbacks also travel to face Memphis, a top-25 finisher last season, and a team they’ve historically struggled against.

Adding to the novelty, Arkansas will meet two programs for the first time in school history: Alabama A&M and in-state opponent Arkansas State, setting the stage for new rivalries and more headlines.
