Indiana football secures commitment from 3-star 2026 offensive lineman C.J. Scifres.

Indiana football received a commitment from offensive lineman C.J. Scifres of Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana, during his official visit on June 14.

Indiana continues to tap into the talent pipeline at Center Grove, with head coach Curt Cignetti securing a commitment from offensive lineman C.J. Scifres during his official visit on June 14. This marks the second major pledge from Center Grove under Cignetti, following last offseason’s commitment from quarterback Tyler Cherry shortly after Cignetti took the helm.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Scifres ranks as the No. 1,432 overall prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 125 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 21 recruit in the state of Indiana. He held an offer from Toledo and drew interest from programs like Iowa and Duke. His recruitment was led by offensive line coach Bob Bostad and defensive line coach Pat Kuntz, whose strong ties within Indiana likely played a key role.

Cignetti has consistently emphasized the importance of keeping top in-state talent at home. Scifres becomes the fourth in-state commitment for the Hoosiers in the 2026 cycle, joining defensive lineman Blake Smythe, linebacker Trevor Gibbs, and cornerback Kasmir Hicks.
