Indiana Men’s Basketball Officially Signs Serbian Guard Aleksa Ristic

Indiana men’s basketball has officially signed Serbian guard Aleksa Ristic, the program announced Tuesday in a press release.

Ristic committed to the Hoosiers in June, and his signing brings IU’s scholarship total to 12 for the 2025–26 season.

“Aleksa is a versatile guard who can play both on and off the ball,” head coach Darian DeVries said in the release. “He’s a competitive player with high-level experience in FIBA events. We believe he can handle the ball, create in pick-and-roll situations, and shoot efficiently — all qualities that will add valuable depth to our backcourt.”

Ristic is currently representing the Serbian National Team at the FIBA U20 European Championships in Greece, running from July 12–20. He will join the Hoosiers following the conclusion of the tournament.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds last season with KK Dynamic in the Basketball League of Serbia.
