Class of 2026 forward Trey Thompson has received a scholarship offer from Indiana University, becoming the latest prospect on the Hoosiers’ radar.
The 6-foot-8 Greeneville High School (Tennessee) standout announced the offer Monday morning via his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Thompson is currently ranked No. 137 nationally in the 247Sports Composite for the rising senior class. His growing list of offers includes Butler, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier, and several other programs.
Over the weekend’s May evaluation period, Thompson drew attention from coaches representing Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville, Kansas, Purdue, Virginia, IU, Virginia Tech, and Providence, according to recruiting analyst Trent Markwith.
Thompson previously took an official visit to Purdue last fall. He competes with Tennessee Impact on the adidas 3SSB circuit, where he has impressed this spring by averaging 18 points per game on 58.2% shooting, including 42.9% from three-point range.
