Less than two weeks after wrapping up his official visit to NC State, rising senior tight end from The Bullis School (Md.) has named the Wolfpack among his top three choices. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 220 pounds, Williams also included the Pitt Panthers and Maryland Terrapins as his other finalists.
Following a recruitment that brought in more than a dozen Division I offers, Williams announced his final three in a social media post earlier this week.
Javonte Williams, who picked up his NC State offer back in early April, is now rated as a three-star prospect across most major recruiting platforms. As a junior, he posted an impressive stat line with 35 receptions for 679 yards and six touchdowns, while also contributing 20 tackles on defense.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2026 class, Williams is currently slotted at No. 426 overall, No. 20 among tight ends, and No. 9 in the state of Maryland.
While he hasn’t announced an official decision date, trimming his list to just three finalists hints that a commitment could be on the horizon—possibly within the next few weeks or months.
