Camden’s Elijah Satchell Locked In With NC State After Recent Visit
Camden (NJ) Eastside standout Elijah Satchell, a three-star defensive lineman in the 2026 class, continues to solidify his future with NC State after a recent trip to Raleigh. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound pass rusher committed to the Wolfpack on July 6, 2025, and his latest campus visit only strengthened his decision.
Satchell cited his strong relationship with NC State defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot as a major factor in his commitment. Eliot, who has New Jersey roots himself, built trust with the Camden native through frequent visits to his hometown and school.
“It feels like family,” Satchell said of Eliot’s presence in his recruitment.
Satchell chose NC State over other prominent programs, including Kentucky, Northwestern, and Stanford, all of which hosted him for official visits. He is ranked among the top-20 prospects in New Jersey for the 2026 cycle and is viewed as a key addition to NC State’s class, which currently holds a national ranking in the mid-60s following his pledge.
Projected as an edge rusher or defensive end, Satchell brings versatility and explosiveness to the Wolfpack front seven. With his commitment locked in, NC State fans can expect him to be a cornerstone piece of the program’s defensive future.
