Newest NC State Basketball Prospect Set to Transfer to Prep Academy

Four-star combo guard Tarris Bouie, transferring from Julius Chambers High School in Charlotte, N.C., to SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio, for his senior year, has officially joined the 2026 NC State basketball recruiting radar.

Bouie, a standout on the grassroots circuit this spring, has drawn attention from multiple high-major programs in recent months. On Saturday afternoon, he shared news of his offer from NC State’s first-year head coach Will Wade through a social media post.

Tarris Bouie, a 6-foot-6, 170-pound polished prospect, is ranked No. 74 overall, No. 12 among shooting guards, and No. 4 in Ohio on the 247Sports 2026 Composite. His overall ranking reflects an 11-spot rise since his debut in September, with potential for further improvement in upcoming updates.

Alongside NC State, Tarris Bouie’s offer list includes Alabama, Cincinnati, Missouri, Wake Forest, Marquette, Ole Miss, and multiple mid-major programs. Additionally, on Saturday, he announced an offer from the Michigan Wolverines, just hours after sharing news of his offer from NC State head coach Will Wade.
