Five-star Class of 2026 forward Addison Bjorn kicked off her recruitment tour with an official visit to North Carolina — and judging by the photos, it was a strong start.
That impression was reinforced when Bjorn, a top-10 prospect in her class, announced her list of seven finalists.
The UNC women’s basketball program made the cut, joining some elite company. Bjorn, a Riverside, Missouri native, has narrowed her focus to the following schools as her recruitment heats up:

Ranked No. 9 overall in the 2026 class by 247Sports, Bjorn would be a massive addition to a Tar Heel recruiting class already shaping up to be special. Courtney Banghart and her staff have secured two commitments so far, including one from fellow five-star Kate Harpring, widely considered among the very best players in the class.
If North Carolina can add Bjorn to the mix, the Tar Heels could be looking at the nation’s top recruiting class.
Since her arrival in Chapel Hill, Banghart has built a reputation for bringing in elite talent. She’s consistently sold recruits on the program’s growing success, the strong culture she has cultivated, and the undeniable bond among her players — all of which make UNC an appealing destination for the country’s best prospects.
The competition for Bjorn is fierce, with several powerhouse programs still in the running. But Banghart and her staff have proven they can go toe-to-toe with the nation’s elite on the recruiting trail, and they’ve put North Carolina in a strong position to land another five-star star for the 2026 class.
