Pate’s rankings place Oregon’s Dante Moore at No. 3, Washington’s Demond Williams at No. 4, Illinois’ Luke Altmyer at No. 5, Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola at No. 6, USC’s Jayden Maiava at No. 7, Michigan’s Bryce Underwood at No. 8, Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza at No. 9, and UCLA’s Nico Iamaleava at No. 10.
Sayin, a transfer from Alabama, saw limited action last season, completing 5 of 12 passes for 84 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions, while rushing for 24 yards on two carries. Despite minimal playtime, Ohio State recognizes his immense potential. With elite receivers like Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, Sayin has the tools to excel. If he reaches his ceiling, he could exceed expectations and shine in 2025, as Pate predicts.
