FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas remains in strong pursuit of Carthage, Texas 3-star wide receiver Keymian Henderson’s commitment.
As the Razorbacks near a potential pledge, Henderson has narrowed his choices to Arkansas and TCU, a former Southwest Conference foe, ahead of his July 5, 2024, commitment date.
Henderson’s possible recruitment further strengthens Arkansas’ focus on East Texas talent, a region revitalized during Chad Morris’s tenure as coach from 2018-19).
Arkansas has successfully recruited from Carthage High School in recent years, securing former 4-star offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford in 2022 and flipping 3-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney from Baylor.
Keymian Henderson, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver, has emerged as a fast-rising prospect this summer after a standout junior season with the Bulldogs. He is on the cusp of 4-star status and could achieve it with another strong performance in 2025.
Last season, Henderson led the Texas high school powerhouse in receiving yards, contributing to a 15-1 record and the 4A D-II state championship, Carthage’s 10th title since 2008. He recorded 64 receptions for 1,085 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior. Henderson has attracted offers from Kansas State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Houston, TCU, SMU, Mississippi State, and others.
Keymian Henderson’s 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame is ideal for Bobby Petrino’s offense, offering a dynamic skillset that can stretch the field and exploit mismatches against secondaries.
If Henderson joins Arkansas, he’d enter a high-octane offense that produced 246 chunk plays (10+ yards) in 2024, ranking No. 2 in the SEC and No. 3 nationally. The Razorbacks’ 2026 recruiting class, currently No. 12 nationally per 247Sports, includes 21 commitments, with three 4-star and several high-caliber 3-star prospects under coach Sam Pittman.
Petrino’s system has proven effective, even with limited proven receivers, as Andrew Armstrong led the SEC with 78 catches for 1,140 yards and one touchdown in 2024.
Arkansas’ offense, averaging over 460 yards per game in 2024, was powered by first-year transfer quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for over 3,100 yards and 15 touchdowns after arriving from Boise State. The Razorbacks overhauled their wide receiver room in the offseason, as Green’s top eight pass-catchers from 2024 either exhausted eligibility, entered the transfer portal, or declared for the NFL Draft.
Green now faces the challenge of building chemistry with approximately 11 new receivers during summer and fall camp. This mirrors his experience last season, when he also had to integrate with a new group post-transfer. The 2025 Arkansas wide receiver depth chart includes:
