Last August, optimism was sky-high. Plenty of us had the Wolfpack clearing Vegas’ 8.5 win total with room to spare. In hindsight, that was a mild misread—though to be fair, no one saw another round of injury-fueled quarterback chaos derailing the season.
For 2025, I can say with absolute certainty: there’s no way we get more injury-related quarterback drama. It’s simply impossible. I’ve filed a formal request with the football gods for mercy—our collective mental health can’t take another round.
This offseason’s mood is far more restrained, much like Vegas’ updated win total. Can Dave Doeren pull off another bounce-back? My skepticism runs deep, but with a manageable schedule, I think this team can grind out seven wins.
