Arkansas Lands 2026 4-Star OL Ben Mubenga Over National Powers
FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football scored a major recruiting victory with the commitment of 2026 four-star offensive lineman Ben Mubenga, who chose the Razorbacks over offers from Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Florida State, and a host of national programs.
Mubenga, a 6-foot-5, 283-pound standout from Buford High School in Georgia, announced his decision after taking an official visit to Fayetteville from June 6–8. He was also courted by powerhouses like Michigan, LSU, Oregon, Missouri, Auburn, and Texas A&M, among others.
Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman and offensive line coach Eric Mateos led the recruitment, impressing Mubenga with their vision and authenticity.
“Everything just felt right—the culture, the background of Coach Pitt, his résumé speaks for itself,” Mubenga said. “The love they showed, it was just right.”
The visit was a family affair for Mubenga, who was joined by his parents and 6-year-old brother on the trip to Arkansas. He cited the connection with Coach Mateos as a key reason for his decision.
“Coach Mateos is a man with a plan for me on and off the field,” Mubenga said.
The Razorbacks continue to build a strong 2026 class, and Mubenga’s commitment gives them a physical, high-upside presence in the trenches as Pittman and Mateos reshape the offensive line with a long-term vision.
