The mountain is coming to Cincinnati

A Mountain is Headed to Cincinnati

Arizona’s Jonah Savaiinaea — a towering presence at 6-foot-5 and 336 pounds — is making his way to Cincinnati for a pre-draft visit, per Ryan Fowler. Nicknamed “The Mountain” for good reason, Savaiinaea is also set to visit the Bears, Vikings, and Cowboys.

Currently ranked 87th on PFF’s Big Board and projected as a third- or fourth-round pick, Savaiinaea sits even higher on the 2025 NFL Mock Draft Database Consensus Big Board at No. 61 overall — fourth among interior offensive linemen.

If he’s available when Cincinnati is on the clock, they’d be lucky to land the Hawaii native. A three-year starter at Arizona, Savaiinaea appeared in 35 games and showcased rare versatility. In 2024 alone, he logged 345 snaps at left tackle, 364 at right tackle, and even lined up as a tight end on 29 plays. As a freshman, he played 928 snaps at right guard before moving to right tackle in 2023.

Savaiinaea’s game steadily improved throughout his college career. According to PFF, he posted a 64.2 run-block grade and an impressive 82.7 pass-block grade last season, giving up just four sacks across 738 snaps.

In 2023, he helped anchor an Arizona offensive line that fueled the nation’s 8th-ranked passing offense. The Wildcats notched 10 wins that year and closed the season with a statement win over Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl. Savaiinaea earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors in 2022 and 2023, followed by an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention nod in 2024.

Cincinnati may just get its mountain.
