UNC Women’s Basketball Unveils 2025-26 ACC Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – With exhibition play just around the corner, excitement is building for the start of the season as North Carolina women’s basketball received its official Atlantic Coast Conference schedule from the league this afternoon.

The Tar Heels will play an 18-game ACC slate, opening conference action at home in Carmichael Arena on Dec. 14 against Louisville. To close out 2025, Carolina will travel north for a Dec. 29 matchup at Boston College.

Fans can celebrate the new year in Chapel Hill with back-to-back home games against the Bay Area schools: Cal on Jan. 1 followed by Stanford on Jan. 4. After a midweek bye, the Tar Heels head to South Bend to meet Notre Dame on Jan. 11, before returning home to host Miami on Jan. 15. Carolina then spends back-to-back games on the road at Florida State (Jan. 18) and Georgia Tech (Jan. 22), before finishing the month at home against Syracuse on Jan. 25.

February opens with a rivalry clash across the Triangle at NC State on Feb. 2. Carolina is back at Carmichael on Feb. 5 against Clemson, then makes a short trip to Winston-Salem to visit Wake Forest on Feb. 8. The Tar Heels welcome SMU to Chapel Hill on Feb. 12, before resuming the Tobacco Road Rivalry at Duke on Feb. 15.

The stretch run begins with a visit to Virginia Tech on Feb. 19, followed by a home tilt with Pittsburgh on Feb. 22. Carolina’s final road game of the regular season is at Virginia on Feb. 26, before closing conference play with Senior Day against Duke on March 1 in Carmichael Arena.

Carolina’s first live action comes on Oct. 30 in Atlanta, squaring off against South Carolina in an exhibition game at State Farm Arena. The regular season tips off in Chapel Hill on Nov. 3 against NC Central at 11 a.m. ET for the program’s annual Field Trip Day.
