The transfer portal is becoming more active for Clemson. You can include that in the list of statements you didn’t expect to hear in 2025.
The Tigers are bringing in another player from the portal today. This time, it’s edge/linebacker Jeremiah Alexander hailing from Alabama. Whenever individuals hear Bama, they pay a bit more attention, but in this instance, it’s justified.
Alexander is a previous five-star recruit, according to 247Sports, holding a .99 composite score. He was the top edge prospect in the 2022 class and the 18th overall player in the country. During his three years with the Tide, the sophomore participated in 25 games as part of the special teams, recording eight tackles and two solo tackles.
Although the statistics aren’t particularly remarkable, Alabama boasts a roster brimming with talent. It’s simple to get overwhelmed. Nonetheless, the depth at linebacker is worrying at Clemson. If Alexander can shift to a more conventional LB position, it will greatly benefit the Tigers.
Alexander is the third portal addition of the season following Dabo Swinney’s expressed opposition to it. He goes to Clemson with two years of eligibility remaining.
