He described their mismanagement of the state’s water supply and related issues as “criminal.”

Steve Byrne recently expressed his frustration with California’s Democratic leadership in an Instagram post, revealing that his former home in the Los Angeles area has burned down.He stated, “The leadership in CA is responsible for how out of control this situation became,” pointing to issues like inadequate water retention—over 4 billion gallons wasted to the Pacific Ocean last year—dry hydrants, outdated power lines, a halt on controlled burns, and mismanagement of FEMA funds.

Byrne further remarked, “I believe that Governor Newsom, DWP officials, and the Mayor will face serious consequences for their lack of leadership and foresight. From a governance standpoint, it’s criminal and personally heartbreaking.”

The comedian also posted before-and-after images of his former Pasadena home, which was completely destroyed in the Eaton fire. Byrne is among a growing number of Hollywood figures criticizing California politicians for their inadequate response to the escalating crisis in L.A. County.
