JUST IN: UCLA Matchup Against Penn State Relocated to Long Beach.

LOS ANGELES — The matchup between top-ranked UCLA and Penn State on Wednesday is being shifted to Long Beach State’s campus due to worries over the ongoing lethal wildfires.

The women’s match will take place at Walter Pyramid, located roughly 35 miles from UCLA’s Westwood campus, not far from the Palisades fire that remains uncontrolled.

UCLA has suspended face-to-face classes until January 17.

The Nittany Lions faced No. 4 USC on Sunday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles’ downtown area.

Northwestern, scheduled to face the Los Angeles teams on Sunday and Wednesday, chose not to travel due to worries about the fires, despite UCLA’s proposal to hold the game at a different venue.
