HUG BOOST: Former RB Cowboys Star Set to Interview for Coaching Role!!

Tashard Choice is on the verge of returning to the Dallas Cowboys, having arranged an interview for the team’s running backs coaching position.
Texas football assistant coach Tashard Choice is reportedly in the running to join Brian Schottenheimer’s coaching staff with the Dallas Cowboys. According to longtime Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill, Choice is set to interview for the position on Saturday.
He has been the Longhorns’ running backs coach for the past three seasons, during which he has coached notable NFL talents such as Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, and Jonathon Brooks.
Jaydon Blue, part of Texas’ backfield-by-committee for 2024, could be the next player developed by Choice to enter the NFL Draft. Prior to his tenure at Texas, Choice coached at Georgia Tech, where he worked with Jahmyr Gibbs and Jordan Mason.
Choice had a six-year NFL career from 2008 to 2013, playing in 88 games and spending four seasons with the Cowboys. His coaching journey began with an internship at Dallas before he became an assistant at North Texas. He has also been instrumental in Texas’ recruiting efforts, helping bring in players like CJ Baxter and Ryan Wingo.
This offseason has seen little turnover among the Longhorns’ coaching staff, and if Choice does leave for the Cowboys, he would be the first Texas assistant to depart.
