Michigan State University President Kevin Guskiewicz confirmed to the Detroit News that the football program is currently under investigation for possible recruiting violations that occurred under former head coach Mel Tucker’s staff. However, Guskiewicz did not disclose the specifics or severity of the allegations but mentioned he has a meeting scheduled with the NCAA next week.
In a statement to Mlive.com, MSU Athletic Department senior spokesperson Matt Larson said, “Michigan State athletics has been working with the NCAA to review a potential issue regarding the football program under the former staff and will continue to cooperate throughout the process.
