Following a disappointing end to their 2024-25 season with a first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Ole Miss on March 21, UNC basketball has been actively shaping its schedule for head coach Hubert Davis’ fifth year at the helm.
Among the latest additions to the non-conference slate is a home matchup against the Navy Midshipmen. Per college basketball scheduling source Made For March, the Tar Heels — led by returning guard Seth Trimble and a promising group of newcomers — will host Navy at the Dean E. Smith Center on November 18, 2025.
The tipoff time for the matchup will be announced at a later date.
According to the report, it’s a buy game, featuring a $90,000 guarantee.
Last season, UNC opened at No. 9 in the AP Top 25 but quickly dropped out of the rankings by early December after starting 4-4. The Tar Heels ultimately finished with a disappointing 23-14 overall record.
