Dabo Swinney added another premier talent to Clemson’s 2026 recruiting class on Friday, as four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars committed to the Tigers over top programs like Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and South Carolina.
Sellars marks the 14th pledge in Clemson’s 2026 class, which now climbs back to the No. 2 spot nationally, trailing only USC.
He also becomes the third four-star wideout in the group, joining Connor Salmin and Naeem Burroughs to form what’s shaping up to be one of the most formidable receiver classes in the country.
Based on the tweet and national recruiting rankings, Clemson has secured commitments from three of the top 37 wide receivers in the 2026 class—an impressive feat, especially considering the elite talent already set to take the field in 2025. While it’s unlikely the entire current corps returns for 2026, the fact that Clemson is already positioned to reload with such a stacked group speaks volumes.
Interestingly, Gordon Sellars is the lowest-ranked receiver in Clemson’s 2026 class, yet he still comes in at No. 207 nationally and held close to 30 offers—an impressive floor for any recruiting class.
Leading the way is Naeem Burroughs, the No. 62 overall prospect and the seventh-ranked wide receiver in the nation. With 36 offers from powerhouses like Alabama, Texas, USC, and Florida, his commitment gives Clemson a true headliner.
Connor Salmin rounds out the trio, sitting at No. 186 nationally. The Maryland native fielded 31 offers and had his pick of top-tier programs before committing to the Tigers.
With Swinney already assembling one of the most dangerous receiver groups for 2025, the fact that he’s reloading with this level of talent for 2026 is nothing short of frightening for opposing defenses.
