Over two seasons at NC State under former head coach Kevin Keatts, versatile wing Dennis Parker Jr. saw action in 56 games, earning 12 starts during his freshman year in Raleigh. However, his role remained limited. In late March—shortly after the program appointed Will Wade as its new head coach—Parker entered the transfer portal.
Now, with two years of eligibility left, the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Parker appears to have found a program where he could take on a more prominent role. Earlier this week, he announced his commitment to the Radford Highlanders, now led by first-year head coach Zach Chu.
Radford wrapped up last season with a solid 20-13 overall record and a 9-7 mark in Big South play.
Parker, meanwhile, had a limited impact off the bench for NC State in the 2024-25 campaign. He averaged 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 12.3 minutes per game for a Wolfpack team that struggled, finishing with just 12 total wins and only five in ACC play—falling short of qualifying for the ACC Tournament.
Dennis Parker Jr. joined NC State two years ago as a four-star recruit from John Marshall High School in Richmond, Va., ranked No. 125 overall in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
Now in the transfer portal, Parker ranks No. 395 overall and No. 69 among small forwards, per 247Sports.
