
Wisconsin Cornerback Jay Harper Enters Transfer Portal
MADISON – Redshirt freshman cornerback Jay Harper has become the latest Wisconsin football player to seek a new opportunity elsewhere.
Harper officially entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday, April 23, as reported by On3 and Badger247. The Alabama native confirmed the news by reposting both reports to his personal account on X (formerly Twitter).
His departure marks the first defensive exit for the Badgers during the spring transfer window. Harper did not see game action during the 2024 season and was competing near the bottom of the depth chart this spring alongside early enrollees Cairo Skanes and Jai’mier Scott.
The spring transfer portal window remains open until Friday, April 25.
