The Arkansas Razorbacks just wrapped up their first season under new head coach John Calipari, making a strong push up the SEC standings.
The team finished the year with an impressive run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament, knocking off higher-seeded Kansas and St. John’s along the way.
Despite the success, Calipari faced some early roster turnover after his inaugural season in Fayetteville. One of the most notable departures was former five-star recruit Boogie Fland.
Fland declared for the 2025 NBA Draft and subsequently entered the transfer portal, signaling a fresh chapter in his basketball journey.
As part of his draft preparations, Fland sat down for an interview with Draft Express’ Jonathan Givony, where he reflected on his time under Calipari.
“He always brings the energy,” Fland said. “He’s funny, but he really cares about us. He wants us to be great every day. Sometimes that means getting serious and pushing us to see if we’ll break… He’s teaching us how to be better men.”
