Porter Moser Lands Commitment from Three-Star Guard Jake Hansen as Oklahoma Rounds Out 2025 Class
Oklahoma head coach Porter Moser continues to stay active in reshaping his roster for the 2025-26 season. After leading the Sooners to their first NCAA Tournament appearance under his leadership, Moser has built momentum through the transfer portal — and now he’s making moves on the high school front.
Jake Hansen, a three-star shooting guard from Wauwatosa West High School in Wisconsin, announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Thursday. Hansen, a standout in the 2025 class, led Tosa West to a state championship in March and had previously garnered offers from programs such as Arizona State, St. John’s, and Buffalo.
“After a great conversation with coach Porter Moser,” Hansen wrote on social media, “I am blessed to receive and accept an offer to play basketball at the University of Oklahoma.”
Ranked No. 79 among shooting guards nationally and No. 11 overall in Wisconsin by 247Sports, Hansen brings a strong shooting pedigree to Norman. He earned WBCA Division II All-Star honors thanks to his reliable scoring touch and consistent perimeter shooting. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound guard finished his high school career with 1,524 points, including 245 made three-pointers. He also set multiple school records, including an 82.5% career free throw percentage, 84 threes in a single season, and a perfect 16-for-16 performance from the line in one game.
Hansen is also close friends with fellow OU signee Kai Rogers. The two played together at Wauwatosa West before Rogers transferred to Overtime Elite in Atlanta for his senior year. Rogers, a four-star center, is ranked No. 92 nationally in the 2025 class.
Coach Moser, working alongside assistant general manager Trae Young, has assembled a highly competitive group for the upcoming season. Oklahoma boasts a top-10 transfer class after securing commitments from Tae Davis, Nijel Pack, and Xzayvier Brown. The Sooners also landed Alabama transfer and former McDonald’s All-American Derrion Reid, a five-star prospect from the 2024 class.
The roster for next season now includes a promising mix of talent: incoming freshmen Alec Blair, Andreas Holst, Kai Rogers, and Jake Hansen, along with JUCO standout Jeff Nwankwo, who returns after missing last season due to an Achilles injury.
With both proven transfers and high-upside recruits, Oklahoma appears poised to build on last season’s tournament breakthrough and make a deeper run in March.
