Caleb Love scored in double figures every season across his five-year college career, starting 169 of 174 games. He spent three years as a key backcourt presence at North Carolina before starring for two seasons at Arizona. Now 23 and preparing for his rookie season as a pro, Love has appeared in the second round of some NBA mock drafts.

However, as ESPN’s Jonathan Givony noted after Friday’s release of the 75-player invite list for the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago (May 11–18), Love is the third-highest-ranked prospect not included. As a result, the former five-star recruit from St. Louis is expected to attend the G League Elite Camp in hopes of securing a late combine invitation.
Givony currently ranks Love—who earned 2023–24 Pac-12 Player of the Year and 2024–25 All-Big 12 First Team honors—at No. 71 on his latest big board for the NBA Draft, set for June 25–26 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
One UNC basketball name that did make the 2024 NBA Draft Combine list is one-and-done forward Drake Powell. The Pittsboro, N.C., native is currently projected by NBA Draft On SI as a potential second-round pick. However, the combine invitation gives the athletic prospect a valuable opportunity to boost his draft stock in the coming weeks.
