New Head Coach to Be Announced Tuesday

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) — South Carolina State University has announced the resignation of women’s basketball head coach Tim Eatman after three challenging seasons at the helm of the Lady Bulldogs.

The program struggled under Eatman’s leadership, managing only seven total wins across three seasons. The 2024–2025 campaign ended with a disappointing 2-29 record.

In a statement, Interim Athletics Director Oliver “Buddy” Pough acknowledged Eatman’s service:
“I appreciate Coach Eatman for his efforts at South Carolina State on and off the court and wish him and his family the best in the future.”

The university confirmed that a new head coach will be announced on Tuesday.

This transition marks a pivotal moment for SC State’s women’s basketball program as it looks to rebuild and return to competitive form in the coming seasons.
