According to JayhawkSlant, veteran big man Patrick Suemnick recently completed an official visit to Lawrence, signaling KU’s interest in adding him to the roster.

Kansas continues its search for frontcourt depth, with 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward/center Patrick Suemnick emerging as a key target in the transfer portal. An experienced collegiate player since 2020, Suemnick has earned a reputation for his relentless motor and competitive edge.
Last season, Suemnick played his lone year at Oklahoma State, averaging 2.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.3 assists across 34 games (one start). He shot an efficient 52% from the field in 11.7 minutes per game, although his 44% free throw percentage stands out as a concern.
Before Oklahoma State, Suemnick had stops at West Virginia, Triton College (JUCO), and Robert Morris—cementing his status as a true journeyman. Despite modest stats, his Big 12 experience and physical presence make him a compelling option for Kansas, particularly in a backup role.
Following his recent visit to Lawrence, Suemnick could be nearing a decision. If he commits, he would provide the Jayhawks with a steady, veteran presence off the bench capable of contributing 10–15 minutes per game in key moments.
