Rodney Rice heads to USC following a Sweet 16 run with Maryland

Guard Rodney Rice is heading to USC after helping Maryland reach the Sweet 16 this past season. He started 32 of 36 games for the Terrapins, averaging 13.8 points per game. This marks Rice’s third college stop, having begun at Virginia Tech, where he played as a freshman before missing his sophomore year due to injury.

“Rodney is one of the most explosive players in the country,” said USC head coach Eric Musselman. “As a combo guard, he brings elite scoring at all three levels and strong defensive ability. He was among the Big Ten’s top performers last season.”

Rice becomes the fifth addition to USC’s roster for the upcoming year.
