The 2025 UNC basketball recruiting class still ranks among the nation’s top 10.
Hubert Davis didn’t land a top-15 recruiting class in any of his first three years at the helm, but the fifth-year UNC head coach has now secured back-to-back top-10 finishes.
As of this week’s final 247Sports rankings update, UNC’s three-man 2025 recruiting class lands at No. 8 nationally—matching the ranking of last year’s trio.
This time around, however, just one incoming Tar Heel holds five-star status: Caleb Wilson, a forward from Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (Ga.), who moved up one spot to No. 8 overall in the rankings.
UNC’s early signees, Gonzaga College (D.C.) guard Derek Dixon and Davidson Day (N.C.) guard Isaiah Denis, both earned high-end four-star status in the final 247Sports rankings—though only one finished inside the top 50 nationally.
Dixon rose four spots to No. 45 overall, while Denis slid slightly, dropping to No. 52.
