Behind the Crimson Curtain: Kalen DeBoer Addresses the Spotlight in Alabama Docuseries.

Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer’s inaugural season in Tuscaloosa was full of ups and downs. From accepting the position after Nick Saban’s retirement to defeating No. 1 Georgia to being defeated by Vanderbilt, the 2024 season was as uncertain as ever.

Unknown to fans, Fox News captured everything in a special docuseries about the Tide’s season called, ‘The Tides That Binds.’ During his initial press conference for spring practice, DeBoer provided insight into the experience of facing that extra pressure for the upcoming season.

“I believe it’s great, and I feel that there are many individuals who fail to comprehend these guys and their narratives,” DeBoer stated. “I believe that is what you truly want to emerge from these.” It truly wasn’t a significant distraction. “There’s a single camera present throughout the entire practice.”

Two episodes have been made available, with the third episode debuting on March 5. Every episode can be found on Fox News.

In the 2024 season, Alabama started off 4-0, highlighted by a thrilling 41-34 win against Georgia that propelled the Tide to the top ranking in the nation. Alabama finished the season at 5-4 following the victory against the Bulldogs, marked by surprising defeats to Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, and Michigan.

It was the first season since 2007, Saban’s inaugural season in Tuscaloosa, that the Crimson Tide did not achieve 10 victories. This marked the second occasion in three seasons that Alabama failed to qualify for the College Football Playoff, including the inaugural year of the 12-team format.
